Hmm, just spitballing here, but what could you point to on an elephant that's unique (and/or in the public thoughts of elephants)? Memory, size, trunks, large ears, grey skin, tusks, fear of mice, (name of them?) pachyderm?

For memory - Because they're the only animal that can remember how to score a strike?

Trunks - Because their trunks have room to spare?

Size - Because even the lions aren't willing to tell them they crossed the line.

Mice thing - Because they always beat the mice's half ounce balls.

Or maybe it's something to do with bowling? Turkeys, lanes, (heavy/big balls), spares, lines, shoes...

Shoes - Because they can finally borrow shoes that fit?

Turkeys - Even elephants love getting turkeys?

I remember when the primary use of amazon was buying secondhand items. The deals on used discs for PS2 or gamecube were amazing. It was ebay without bidding.

It may be, but it can also come from having (for me) childhood experiences with parents who would absolutely lose their cool if appointments and other such scheduled activities were missed. I have this feeling and behavior pattern for things like work, hangouts with friends, and even casual events like a festival or faire, all in addition to the typical items like doctor's appointments.

I have to boggle at that. Probably 2/5 of the people older than 60 that I know have fox news (with a brief surge of newsmax or whatever back in 2021) on constantly. I know I've lived in some bloody regions, but it can't be such small number. My mind just boggles that I am somehow stuck so squarely in the midst of such fools when only 1% of americans have them on.

Aye, that's why I was so confused about people not knowing what they were. Those damn commercials are still stuck in my head (along with most others when I get reminded of them. I hate advertising.).
