What if those 90% split into 45% and 45%? Then you need those 10% crazies to govern.

I got many apps installed. I don't keep in my memory what I have. How do I check that I don't have any from those compromised?

To that they will immediately answer - but do you want all your youtube habits to be in the hands of the government?

I want to see more of them. Please share if you can!

Bush may have started devastating wars that lasted for decades, but I blame Trump for the war in Ukraine. There have been no worse war since WWII. And it may have been prevented if Ukraine would've received the military assistance during his Presidency they were asking for before Russia invaded.

I wonder how their opa figured this out. Did he try it out and encountered problems when starting the motor? Then maybe got suggestion to add a capacitor?

I honestly thought this is a post in some kind of jokes community.

It might be quicker to make a backup of your config and restore to defaults instead.

Well, maybe tell me how to do it?

I'm sure they'll get enough to start at least experimental fusion reactors. And if experimental D-T reactors are too difficult to make so they produce electricity, then there's no chance we can make one using much less efficient fuels.

I wanted to check if the community I was about to post in already had a similar post. When I selected that community in the search page and typed in the keywords, I still got the results from other communities and instances.

EDIT: Solution: There is a hidden sidebar, which you access by swiping from left. There's Anonymous on top if you're not logged in. You click that and have an option to add an account.

Hopefully in future lemmy autotranslates links for us, but meanwhile I suggest the following method.

Let's say we want to link https://lemmy.ml/c/asklemmy

Write it like this

[c/asklemmy](/c/asklemmy@lemmy.ml)

Which will result in the following link:

c/asklemmy

This will make sure that the user clicking the link gets taken not to the original instance of the community, but to the community's reflection in user's instance where they can subscribe.

EDIT: Unfortunately this link type is currently crashing Jerboa. Hopefully that gets fixed in future.

EDIT2: For small communities it is recommended to append instance in the title, especially if a huge community with the same title already exist on another instance. Like this:

[c/asklemmy@lemm.ee](/c/asklemmy@lemm.ee)

c/asklemmy@lemm.ee

EDIT: Caviat - these links will work only if the community is already cached in the user's instance. If the user is first to subscribe, they'll have to get to it manually.

So far for me the process is very convoluted:

  1. I go to https://browse.feddit.de/ and find the community.
  2. Then I need to copy it's name.
  3. Then I need to go to my particular instance (lemm.ee)
  4. Then I type manually in my browser address bar lemm.ee/c/
  5. Then I go back to https://browse.feddit.de/ and copy the address of the original instance of the community.
  6. Then I go back and add the original instance address to already typed thing in step 4 like this lemm.ee/c/@
  7. Then I can finally subscribe!

Oh my God! Please, tell me there's a better way of doing this!

EDIT: There is a better way! Solution is to ... use the search function in your instances home page and select community (if it exists already) and search. This way I don't need to go to browse.feddit.de anymore. And links will take me straight the the communities "reflection" in my own instance, where I can subscribe.

Can this be instantly achieved? Or is it inevitable that this process of reaggregation into single community will continue for a long time (months or even years)? Let's discuss!

I personally am not a mod of any subreddit. I just had this question arise in my brain.
