I just use Super+p to run commands. Awesome and custom keybidings are to easily move between tags, windows and monitors, not to launch programs. I use nvim for coding and this combined with awesome means I can do a lot without touching my mouse. At work I use Cinnamon and IntelliJ tools and it's just less ergonomic. Not a huge difference but I definitely prefer my home setup. In general all Linux WM I used over the years were easy to configure and get good experience. The worst environment I had to ever use was OS X. I just hated all their weir solutions like the launch bar and the common menu bar on top. On Linux I never had any issues.

Nothing. The most emotionally overwhelming thing I saw was 'Breaking the waves' but I just finished it.
Let's face it, we lost the fun, early web long time ago. It was all taken over by corporations and when Mozilla dies (and that's not if) they will finish locking it up and the only way to browse it will be by using official, ad filled tools. Best thing we can do is to prepare ourselves for the world without web (www?). We'll still have apps and communicators and of course will still use websites at work but the days of 'browsing' will soon (well, hopefully not very soon) be over.
I stopped caring. When my GF bought a laptop I just installed Linux there and she has no issues using it. Linux is where I always wanted it to be. Now when I see someone using Windows I just think "you poor soul" to myself and move on.
Use chrome for government sites and Firefox for everything else.
AFAIK Minecraft is not like water, you can live without it.
I still don't understand why PDAs are no longer a thing. Make a phone a bit thicker, add ports, thumb keyboard... I remember being able to SSH to servers from my Zaurus and actually do things using the hardware keyboard. Or SSH to my n900 and install packages there. With android I just lost the interest. It doesn't feel like a personal computer anymore.
Yep, corporations denied us this feature long enough that most of us gave up and stopped trying. Sometimes I wish I was just another mindless consumer loving everything that's new and shiny instead of liking actually useful things...
You got lucky. I also bought the wireless dongle and my phone was not compatible. Only the latest phones are but the requirements are nowhere to be found. I also tried a simple phone with android Go but turns out Go does not support android auto at all. This is also not said anywhere on android auto page. Now I have another ohone and a cable and it does mostly work but the voice assistant (like the most important feature when driving) is buggy, the screen gets all messed up from time to time, support for it in apps is still not great and of course it all goes through google so bye bye privacy. Of course it's better than the infotainment systems that all the car brands had because it's does support more apps and the big car display is better than phone holder but overall it still sucks. A truly open standard that would let phones just display stuff on the car's screen and get input from it would be so much better but of course there's no hope for it.

Android auto is, to put it lightly, shit. The compatibility issues itself are enough to make one vomit (try finding out what's required to use wireless connection) but once you manage to connect it it just gets worse and worse. I would not put it on my main phone even if it did work. Instead I bough cheap stock android phone and got a cheap, data only SIM (€2/month). The phone stays in my car, is not used for anything else and doesn't have any personal accounts. I'm fairly happy with this setup.
