30% mimimum increase in base salary, extra week vacation, and, if possible, stock options. And make damn sure the Health/Dental/Vision is a step up from what you currently have.

Star Trek Transporters don't annihilate you. According to all the stuff from Star Trek it literally disassembles you, moves your particles through space in a matter stream held in a containment field, and reassembles you at the new location.

So the Ship of Theseus question doesn't actually apply, your physical material is the same before and after. The question is if disassembly constitutes dying, and if the reassembled you at the new location is a resurrected you, or if disassembly isn't dying, then it is in fact just a form of transport.

I think that instead of doing a TOS remake they should move forward in the TOS era but with another ship and it's adventures. Imagine following Una Chin-Riley as Captain of, say, the USS New Jersey? Or a non-Constitution like the Reliant? Contemporary to the Enterprise under Kirk, on its own missions, and she takes Lt. Ortegas and (now Commander) La'an Noonien-Singh as her XO. That way we get new stories but still they get the nostalgia factor and the writing constraints of a lesser technological level.

A couple of interesting things to take note of, in both the prime timeline here and in the Kelvinverse timeline, Uhura and Kirk meet in a bar. The plot here is similar to TNG 4x17 Night Terrors, both episodes feature a crewman from elsewhere but the Enterprise (Ramon from the refinery, Hagan from the Brattain) receiving communications from an alien race in trouble, followed by a singular crewman from the Enterprise (Uhura, Troi) getting the messages, figuring out the mystery, and getting the crew to help them help the aliens. Overall I think Night Terrors did it better, though SNW certainly wins in the effects department.
