Damn, that's a far cry from my experience with MX mice honestly. I've had my MX 2 from release and nothing like you've described happened to the coating on mine. I know some of that's likely down to body chemistry, I have fairly dry hands and I keep my periferals religiously clean so perhaps I'm not the best example of an average end user.

As for breakage, again, nothing of the sort. My brother has a master 2s and my brother in law has the master 3 and neither of them have had any breakage except that I had to swap a puffy battery on my brothers one about 4 years in which isn't unusual for lipos and liions that are kept at full charge for extended periods of time.

Again, not questioning your experience at all, we all have different situations that we use them in and I don't know what yours is, but just wanted to share my personal experience.

For all their failings, Logitech master mice do tick most of your boxes.

I replaced the battery in my master 2 not long ago although I had to buy new skates for it it only took about 10 mins of work and the battery was a very basic, standard Li-ion, not custom hardware.

Not USB C to be fair but when you only have to charge it once a month or every 3 if you upgrade to a higher capacity battery is something I can live with personally.

Most people only bring one or two bags to the shops with them. Looks like you're bringing double digits of bags lol

I'm looking to change my reading and buying habits away from Amazon and need an alternate source for my ebooks. Where can I buy ebooks that won't expire or have their licence revoked and will allow me to download a copy of that ebook I can store on my own system regardless of the websites status?

Small town for sure. I love the outdoors, I love the quiet life, I love the community cohesion, I love pretty little houses and cottages and I love animals. I adore hills and crags and mountains and valleys.

The city itself isn't really my scene. I don't like cars, I don't like shopping centres, I don't like big flashing lights, and loud noises, and I don't like sirens or clubs. I especially don't like loud cars and pollution.

I live in a city now and I just miss the colour green and ponds and lakes and people that smile and say hello. I realise the country isnt perfect and there's still things I'd miss about the city but by far I'd rather live out there than the middle of a city.

With the discussion of whether assisted dying should be allowed in Scotland befing brought up again, I was wondering what other people thought of the topic.

Do you think people should be allowed to choose when to end their own life?

What laws need to be put into place to prevent abuses in the system?

How do we account for people changing their mind or mental decline causing people to no longer be able to consent to a procedure they previously requested?

Ive had a couple pairs of walking boots in the past and none of them have survived more than 6-8 3 day hikes and I'm sick of replacing them. What are some points to look for in good walking boots, where should I look to buy them from in the UK, how much should I look to be spending as a rough guide?

Cheers!

I'm one of those weirdos who actually really likes using a smaller keyboard so I'll give you a few reasons I like smaller keyboard and a few why I don't like larger ones.

First of all, desk space. I have a very small desk so not having the numpad makes for a lot more space for my mouse.

I also find when gaming that my arms fall at a weird and uncomfortable angle when I have the keyboard and mouse at a comfortable distance apart.

I don't tend to use the numpad, or 9 key cluster above the arrow keys very often so the ones I do use (delete, Pg up and Pg down) are just mapped to a new layer. My board is ortholinear so I've also got the numpad mapped to a layer if I ever want to use it.

The function row is also re-mapped over the number row with the - and + acting as 11 and 12 because I very rarely need to use a function key and a number key at the same time or in quick succession so theres no need for the seperate keys.

I don't program much but when I do, I've got all the relevant symbols labelled with their layers on the front of the cap so they're not hard to find when I need them.

I'm also very much not a tidy desk person and I do a lot of my hobby work at my desk so having a nice small keyboard I can cram wherever I can when I need it and just move out of the way when I don't means I'm not always shuffling stuff around my desk to make space for this huge keyboard.

Overall however, I just really like the look of a nice, small, compact keyboard with everything I need just there. It's visually nice to have a uniform block of keys with no gaps, no larger or differently shaped keys, and that's just not something a larger keyboard offers me.

I can absolutely see how this sort of thing doesn't work for most people because there is an element of having to re-learn muscle memory and such, but for most people that have tried it, they seem to find that when it works, it works very well!

You should try a bunch and see what you really like! The beauty of Linux is there's so much out there that you'll almost definitely find one that gels with you.

A good place to start is Linux mint! The best way I can describe it is a blend of all the best parts of windows 7, 10 and 11 with very few of the downsides. You'll almost definitely settle in quickly and you might never want to switch as it's very full featured, snappy and well put together. It was designed for people wanting that Linux experience while still feeling familiar to windows users.

Another one to try if you love customisability is ZorinOS. There's a free and paid tier, both of which are excellent with the free tier offering layouts for old and new windows and Mac like experience and the paid tier (only around £30 for a lifetime licence) has layouts and customisability for absolutely everything else and extra tools and options for those that want more of that!

Idk, looks like the same position and mirrored kittens. Different cats, same spot!

Throw rice, soy sauce, oyster sauce, onion, potato, chorizo, frozen peas, some spices and water into a rice cooker. Hit go, take 40 min nap, eat.

I watched Nimona on the weekend, it kind of took over my life briefly. It was a blue sky project that spent several years in development before being sold on when the studio closed, bought up by netflix, set to release during the pandemic, then delayed. Let's say my expectations were low but a depth chage came along and blew them sky high.

I don't think I've laughed as much in just under 2 hours in a very long time. Nimona herself was an absolute cherry bomb and I liked her character from minute zero. This only improved as the movie went on.

Ballister was voiced Riz Ahmed and let me say he killed it! He nailed every emotional bit, he was sincere and funny and sometimes sarcastic. Lots of spice in his character!

Ambrosious was well developed and very well voice acted. I liked his character more than I expected to honestly and although we don't get a huge amount of him on screen, his presence made up for that.

As for supporting cast, Todd was fine. Maybe a little overstated but I never hated him more than a hateable character should be! The director was very imposing and stole every scene she was in.

Over all, I really enjoyed it. It was a super fun romp and there's a little bit of something for almost anyone!
