I bought a few junk vinyls just because I really like the texture. I was touching one on the tube home and my friend told me later I was causing visible distress to the man opposite.

That was a great read, thank you for sharing that. My apologies to the man who suffered acute psychological lacerations, I'm about to cause one more by shamelessly stealing that line for my own use (my ancestors were also colonised by the English, so it's okay. I think?).

Nah, not necessarily. I'm 40 and meant to be doing prep study for the Cytech exam and I've watched a grand total of one tutorial video, but I've put in almost 100 hours on Euro Truck Sim 2.

Strangely, I got my letter saying my "postal vote forms will arrive soon" two days after I received the postal vote forms. I got confused for a moment there!

Props to Ranty, too.

Most of the big names in the flerf community are grifters, for sure. But many of the people who follow them are genuine believers. I have a relative who's a die-hard flerfer.

Sheeps and Neeps was a small time flerfer who literally died because his conspiracy theory beliefs about cancer treatment, and there was that guy who went up in a rocket and came down in pieces. So some of them really do believe it. In my relative's case, he went through a lot of trauma, flerfers give him a sense of belonging and something to hold onto.

you read well SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBERS, whaaaat is this guy taking

Social IDs sounds like social media usernames, we don't do "social security" numbers here, we call it national insurance numbers. They probably want contact details to spam with advertising. Edit: looking at the rest of the messages, that is exactly what they were asking for.

I saw your other post, if you're gonna take a cash in hand job, then expect it to be dodgy.

I tried to clean my inkjet, and instead of just cleaning the one colour that was clogged, I thought I may as well flush all of them and now I've completely killed my black printhead.

I was like, screw inkjets then, I'll buy a laser, but apparently they have a much lower dpi and I'm mostly going to be printing artwork and photo quality and now I don't know what to do.

The laser I was looking at is 600x2440 dpi. But my current dead inkjet has 5760x1440 which is a massive difference. I print things for miniature houses so the high res is important. What do I do? I hate inkjets because of the clog.

I have a pack of vegan babybel in the fridge.

*nervously awaits downvotes*

According to my non-dairy-allergic friend, they taste pretty much the same as the cow juice version.

I have a new (second hand) computer that can play fancy games, but...

Unfortunately I trigger the refresh accidentally which counts as a loss. Stupid inability to disable gestures.

Not his first attempt, but I want to do whatever I can to encourage him to stay on the wagon this time. I don't have any experience of this, so I'd appreciate any tips from those who have been there already.

Edit 02/10: he's still clean!

And there's still this much battery left. A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one. I wasn't expecting it to still have any power left at all. I suppose with the sim out, all it was doing was powering the clock, but still! Unfortunately, I've had to retire it as my network won't connect on it anymore.
