Honestly, could we ignore him? He's a fringe candidate with a near-zero chance of reaching nomination. What impact does he have on the race other than to act as a potential spoiler and distraction candidate?

Wouldn't she be the first federal congressperson elected, but not the first in a state jurisdiction? I'm not fully with the state of American politics but I thought there was another transperson in a state legislature.
