So I was gonna make fun of her without reading the article. But I stopped myself and read it.

Student wants to have a republican club, at a Historically black university. In order to be recognised officially by the uni you need a staff member with 3 years at the uni to sign of/endorse your club. She has emailed at least 2 faculty and both have declined. She does not say how many she has reached out to or in what way. Everyone should feel so sad for this poor woman who just wants to be heard!

No I kidd. She's a whiner and an idiot looking for attention. She says she has met with 3 other students a few times unofficially, yet the minimum to be recognised officially as a group is 10. So even if she could get a sign off by a faculty, she doesn't have enough people interested in her garbage to qualify anyways (my soul brightens just slightly at this thought)

And why is she emailing random faculty? How many classes is she taking? Did she ask each of those professors, in person? Seems like she is trying to raise a stink without putting in any of the work. Wahhhhh! you won't recognise my shitty club! Help help I'm being oppressed!

The only smart thing in that whole article was the thought that in order to change the GOP you need people in it who aren't shitba.... Excuse me, who represent all walks of life and colours of skin. But frankly, that's a looooooong game to be playing...

They are not easy to grow. And they are male and female so you have to have both for fruits. I don't know the ratio, or much beyond that, I've never gotten a pod to sprout...

My partner went to a convention in another city. He was caught off guard by the number of dudes in leather and fetishwear that he saw around the hotel when he first arrived but just thought the city must have a diverse and adventurous night life.

The next morning on his way out he spotted a poster, it was "The Bear Ball" weekend, some disco themed big gay guy event, and the hotel he was in was the headquarters, which explains why most of the other attendants of his conference were being housed in a different hotel.

He said he had some great people watching for the next couple days.

I am not an American, but doesn't America separate church and state? Like as one of the base rules? I know they are constantly pushing that boundary (for the "good" religions that is) but isn't this just a "nope, state can't send money to that."

It's seems pretty straight forward... What mental gymnastics are being used to get around that pesky fundamental cornerstone of the US Constitution?

Oh I remember we had a big bag of rainbow cookies one time and they made you gay, and the only gay guy in school was eatting them but they were apparently really good so we figured out if you just ate an even number you'd end up back straight again.

Twas a simpler time.

But why would God be quoting my response to ProdigalFrog to me?

Yep I do the email thing. And yeah, I know they all share everything, but at least I make them work for it.

I don't know how much my privacy is actually being respected but I do go for the "use as many different services as possible so no company knows absolutely everything about me." Approach.

I have a Garmin watch. I press a button on it twice, and within a minute or so a group of people I selected recieve an email with a live link, that shows my path and current location. Once I press the button again my live location ends but the list of people can still see my whole "activity". I think that expires on 24 hours but I'm not sure on that.

It's use is supposedly to show off exercising? I use it when I'm out hunting public land and might be wandering away from my truck or driving to several nearby trailheads in a day and don't want to have to remember to tell my other half "I know I said I was going to Fish Lake but so got distracted and stopped at Deer mountain and then drove to Owlfield but I parked on the south side of the trailhead but ended up walking north 3 miles..."

So I paid for nebula, but it seems totally vacant. I'm not mad, I'm happy to spend the money supporting small creators/any independent endeavour, but am I missing something??

I appreciate you sharing your views on this. You make some good points.

Everyone's got such a huge hate boner for this bot, but I have no idea why.

In this case, by saying it doesn't have info on the source it clues user into the fact that it's not a very large or popular source, which is an extra bit of data readers can take with them even if they don't do any more research beyond that.

If it was my bot, I would probably program it to do that, rather than do nothing in cases like this.

That's already very common and should be shut down, but usually it applies to the particular service you are using... Not whatever this bullshit is...
