Almost all miscarriages are unexplained. Because research into health issues that primarily affect women is still in the fucking dark ages.

I had a friend who suffered multiple miscarriages (including one that wouldn't complete itself and almost required surgical intervention because she was bleeding so badly - a procedure that her home state of Ohio is trying to ban now because it's the exact same procedure that is used in ~~electric~~ elective abortions.

After so many losses they finally figured out that her progesterone levels were extremely low and supplemented progesterone the next time she got pregnant. She now has a healthy baby boy as a result.

Medicine doesn't even have solutions for so many of these problems, and half the government wants to take away one of the few tools available to us to keep women alive and healthy.

Fetuses are not babies.

Just gonna shout out Clare for any elder or younger Millennials in the crowd. Their colors are chef's kiss

I go between them and Benjamin Moore, just because so the pros over ever hired to work on my house use Ben Moore, and I figure there must be a reason.

Yeah, working on yourself makes you resilient, but it definitely doesn't make you unstoppable. Like Picard said, "It is possible to commit no mistakes and still lose."

That's not what was decided in Dodge v. Ford. That case decided that corporations are allowed to act in the interest of majority shareholders even if it hurts the interests of minority shareholders. The Dodge brothers owned Ford shares and were trying to use their position to force Ford to stop competing with Dodge.

Further:

"In fact, courts have consistently refused to hold directors liable for failing to maximise shareholder value."

"In 2014, the United States Supreme Court voiced its position in no uncertain terms. In Burwell v Hobby Lobby Stores Inc., the Supreme Court stated that β€œModern corporate law does not require for profit corporations to pursue profit at the expense of everything else”.

The idea that corporations are hamstrung and simply must do evil things to maximize profit is actually just corporate propaganda.

No they mean the pH of the actual secretions. Some vaginal secretions are more acidic than others and the pH of those secretions changes throughout the month and can be changed by the microbiome of the vagina.

I grew up with a trans girl 35 years ago. We knew from the moment this child could express preferences that something was up. I'm talking 18 months - 2 years old, this kid is playing with dolls and trying on mom's high heels and makeup.

Back then, none of us had ever heard of a transgender person and had no idea this was even a thing, so we just assumed she was a gay boy. When she finally learned that trans people existed when she was in high school and told her mom, "Hey I'm a girl," it was like the most face-palmingly obvious thing ever. Of COURSE that's what we'd been seeing literally her entire life.

If she were growing up today, she and everyone around her would have identified her correctly at a much earlier age.

Fucking perfect! Haha

Well, in my case, I sobered up, joined a church, went to nursing school, and bought a house in a new neighborhood. Between those things, the friends found me. So you never know. Join a group, do some things, see what shakes out.
