Let's toss them in a lake! If they die they weren't a witch! If they don't... We then know they are a witch!

Either way... Huzzah!

Recently I had a server failure.. I was in the middle of Sg-1.

So went to prime video to watch it..

It was 4:3 dark and the audio was horrible... Oh and ads. It has ads.

Gross :/

I'm going to give a shout out to Ironicbadger over at https://perfectmediaserver.com/

One of his most recent builds was on promox

I've been running his 2017 version of Debian with docker-compose - zfs and mergerfs. And it's been rock solid for ages and ages.

Yeah I use overseerr on mine.

I've got the full stack of arr's with overseerr for requests from the outside users. And I'm on Usenet with several different indexers.

https://forums.serverbuilds.net/t/guide-nas-killer-6-0-ddr4-is-finally-cheap/13956

They are all about low cost high performance builds.

Quicksync from Intel with an igpu is a god send . I'm running an i3 in my Plex server and it's a hoss.

Good luck op

I use a ducky 60% when I got into the office.i use it because it fits in my messenger bag. It gets used once a month.

I use a model m from 1990 at home. (It's older than my wife lol)

If I were to buy a new keyboard it would be a unicomp model m. So keyboards of decent size are out there.

Honestly... We spend $35 or so if we order from them.. so idk that it's saving us anything.

Thanks!

I have not. I was a shucks.top guy for a long time and don't currently neeeeed the extra space.

That being said I've seen enough different users linking both the Amazon drives and the serverpartdeals recerts and pulls https://serverpartdeals.com/collections/high-capacity-drives

That I won't hesitate to look at them next time I need drives.

And of course as the other user said.. bad blocks.

I don't have any input on your download direction... But I wanted to share some drive links.

Folks on datahoarder love these drives.. Dell Exos X18 18TB SATA 6Gb/s 7200RPM 3.5-inch Enterprise HDD - ST18000NM002J (Renewed) https://a.co/d/9LeBkx7

And recertified drives / server pulls on https://serverpartdeals.com/collections/manufacturer-recertified-drives

Might be a cheaper couple of options for expansion.

Huh I wondered. That makes a lot of sense.

The version I have looks and sounds so much better than the blurays I have... Tho like you said better audio, widescreen and I'm fairly certain it's been ai upscaled as well. I'd have to go back and look but my physical disks don't hold a candle..

That's super tempting honestly. Idk that it benefits is at this point.
