They really decided to sink the boat. Such foolish level of unfriendliness to users was not seen since the time Facebook purposefully slowed their app to see how much its public was addicted.
Bet they are working on a new mobile app that they will charge for.

I think your link is wrong (that's the one that causes Archive.org to try a new capture). I got it working with this:
The default site literally doesn't work on mobile anyway so it's not like it makes much difference.
Can't you just change the browser's ID string and make it look like it's not a mobile browser?
