How can I filter my Lemmy feed by language? I'm getting a lot of German and Swedish content that I can't read, especially cartoons / memes

Select "undetermined" and "english" in your profile language settings. Plus whatever else you speak, obviously.

This is a support question and as such is against rule #3. Please check the sidebar for suggestions on communities that would be a better fit.

try going in the Lemmy settings and select your language, but note that most of the post is marked as "undefined" so it probably won't make a big difference

Thanks. I'm using Android apps for Lemmy and Jerboa, Connect & Liftoff don't show those settings. I just found them using Chrome

doesn't Jerboa have it? If I remember correctly I saw it

I'm doing it exactly like I was doing it on reddit, that is, build up my personal home page with all the communities I want to see then I changed my settings to default to subscribed when opening Lemmy instead of All.

Every now and then I check the list of all communities to see if there's something new worth following, that way it's also easier to avoid communities that do a lot of spamming, overwhelming the smaller (more interesting IMO) ones.
