Murderbot Diaries by Martha Wells.
The Locked Tomb is sort-of scifi (Goth lesbian necromancers with swords in space.) Snarky protagonist. 1st book is Gideon the Ninth.
The Expanse series and Project Hail Mary are both supposed to be excellent.
I'd be interested in recommendations too, Sci Fi is my favourite genre and time travel in particular.
I've listened to all the most recommended books, i.e. Bobiverse, PHM, The Martian, Ex Force, Old Man's War, The Expanse, etc.
Have you listened to the Magic 2.0 series? I’d think this fits nicely with you interests.

Thank you, I read this as an actual book many years ago and absolutely loved, I would often say it is my favourite book of all time. Last year I listened to the audiobook and it wasn't quite as great as I had remembered. Sigh!!
