When making a post on Lemmy, it automatically does searches for similar existing posts. On Reddit you often have the issue of people asking the same questions over and over, this feature should definitely help reduce that!

I kind of feel the main issue on Reddit is people who just don't care and would happily post and upvote irrelevant crap anyway. I don't understand the mentality.

Another issue with Reddit is that you can't comment or vote in old posts because they become archived. Even if you could comment in them, it wouldn't matter because Reddit doesn't have a sort method for new comments like Lemmy does, no one would ever find it
