City won't over spend on players these days and after our first two bids were rejected I'm guessing City took a chance and submitted a bid hoping to poach the deal. City doesn't need to spend that much, nor do they need to waste time dealing with Sullivan and his outrageous demands.
West Ham are being difficult, and all the power to them. We have finally met their demands and now being the only team to meet them we should see this ordeal come to a close hopefully by the weekend or just after. We need Rice, so the price is easy to justify, although it is expensive.
Overall this deal was probably ours to lose, and I'll be glad when it's all over and done.
