My girlfriend and I are watching From, and enjoying it. We were/are worried that there's a lack of direction and they're just generating mysteries without any intention of solving them. The last few episodes revealed a few things, though, and I'm slightly more confident that they do have some sort of endgame.

Yeah, that's the most likely ending.
It might be a fun ride for another couple seasons, but I have no faith there'll be a good ending
I really like the pace of each story thread. They do a good job of making the characters actually do things in a way that you would expect the character to do them as well. If that makes sense.
I think we got a lot more answers this season than I even anticipated, but I'm left with just as many questions and that excites me.
We just started it a couple weeks ago and are loving it (all caught up). My only worry is that they seem to be transitioning into filler episodes devoted to character building without gaining much traction in the story itself. I hope it doesn't turn into another Lost where we have to wait 7 seasons only to be disappointed with the ending.

It's totally going to lol. I feel like the show creators are great at coming up with big ideas, cool story elements, interesting characters, and good atmosphere, but just can't tie them together.
I'm here for it, though! When Lost was first airing, the showrunners publicly swore up and down that they knew what they were doing. The end result didn't really support that, but this time I'm just expecting it to go off the rails.
My friend and I watch it together, and we now have this inside joke where as soon as a thing that's straight out of the Lost playbook, we text one another with "IT'S A WHOLE DIFFERENT SHOW!"
A main character has to deal with withdrawals? IT'S A WHOLE DIFFERENT SHOW!
Digging to enter a subterranean location that's directly beneath us? IT'S A WHOLE DIFFERENT SHOW!
The asshole hick, who will probably end up with a redemption arc and we'll later learn has a heart of gold, gets relegated to living alone in a multi-person vehicle. IT'S A WHOLE DIFFERENT SHOW!
A love triangle nobody is interested in? IT'S A WHOLE DIFFERENT SHOW!
An oddly specific trope of having a language barrier with only one Asian character? IT'S A WHOLE DIFFERENT SHOW!
A main character getting pushed out a window of a tall building (setting up an environment for there to be flash-sideways characters)? IT'S A WHOLE DIFFERENT SHOW!
I still like it, though 🙃
My wife and I love this show so much!! We binged the first season when we decided to watch it, and have been watching theory videos on YT after every episode of S2!
Now it's that looooong wait until S3, and hoping the writers strike doesn't affect it too much (in terms of both release date and quality)
It's a long wait until the next season, but we're now in the 2 month window of manic post-finale theorizing. My favorite part of every fandom!
I'm an OG Lost fan, and so is one of my best friends who's watching it with me. We're starting a list of "IT'S THE EXACT SAME SHOW" things. Neither of us have a lot of hope for the show's future quality, writers strike or not, but we're going to like whatever From becomes 🙂
I need to get going on season 2. So much stuff out right now.
