My neighborhood is very “dog and jog” walkable, and that helps build some connections with neighbors who either have a dog to walk or get out for recreation or exercise, but I wish it were “destination” walkable as well so I could more easily run into neighbors who don’t fall into those categories

So I walk everywhere and have often found community and society while walking. I even find that places people say aren't friendly actually are, but you just need to walk them regularly and say good morning to people. Cars separate people from the other people in cars and often just create a load of stress.
