An app combining the libraries of Disney+ and Hulu will launch in late March 2024, Walt Disney Company CEO Robert Iger said in a Q4 2023 earnings call on Wednesday night. The full app's release will follow the beta that launches in December.

Iger told investors that the beta will be available to US subscribers bundling their Disney+ and Hulu subscriptions and will give "parents time to set up profiles and parental controls that work best for their families ahead of the official launch," as per a transcription from The Motley Fool.

It's just cable TV all over again. Bundle packages and save! But make sure you buy a lot or else you might miss out on shows.

Yes. What I thought, or at least hoped, we would get was something like podcasts. Everyone puts out whatever, there are some official networks, but everything is available through your app of choice. Ad supported by default with easy ways to pay for reduced ads and no ads, and major distributors (like Spotify, Amazon, and Apple) where one subscription gets you access to almost everything.

So, Disney bought Hulu or acquired a majority stock? Any word if just Hulu is going away?
