TIL that Ethiopia has its own calendar that lags 7-8 years behind the rest of the world. New Year occur on September 11 or 12. The current year is 2015. (en.wikipedia.org)

Thailand has a similar one, but they are ~400 years in the future, so it's like 2466 or something.
