Infinity for reddit mentioned trying to keep developing and if they can't get API access, they said pivoting to a lemmy client is on the table. They posted this in their sub on reddit.
Exciting since I infinity for reddit is a fdroid only client that rawks!
Sync dev is weighing their options too.
Sync for Lemmy would be amazing
Agreed - I really underestimated how much I had gotten used to that UI. Would love to keep using it or something like it on the Fediverse!
I absolutely love the sync app, I really hope he decides to make an app for Lemmy.
Also RedReader
My long-term vision for RedReader is to restructure the app to more easily support other sites, including Lemmy, and perhaps others such as Tild.es and Hacker News. Before the API changes were announced, I was already considering adding RSS reader functionality to the app, and I think it would be cool to work with some kind of "open forum protocol" which would allow a variety of websites and apps to interoperate with each other through a uniform API.

Great news all around
Infinity is the sole reason i use reddit anyway. I love that app, if they made it for lemmy.. <3
We should have Sync for Lemmy!!
The dev is actually considering it! I certainly hope he finds the time too.
That would be great. It would make leaving Reddit for Lemmy that much easier. Sync was also my preferred way to browse Reddit and I'll miss it.
Would love to see 3rd party reddit apps migrating to Lemmy platform at some point.
Relay for Lemmy would really make my year.
Relay has been my go to for years. I'd pay again for a Relay for Lemmy app. Browsing Reddit is so fluid on it I'm sure... Is it Dave? ... Would make a great Lemmy app!
I've posted multiple comments on the sync subreddit that the dev should make an app for this. I'd gladly pay again for that kind of an app.
Doesn't a list of apps imply more than one?
Still nice to have the links to download from.
Sorry, just used to Reddit where titles cannot be edited. So I anticipated for the future.
Wait, you can edit the title on Lemmy?!
Ya! Not sure if it's because I am a mod, or if it's universal. I haven't posted outside of a community I don't mod yet. Either way, it's really nice.
It'd be such sweet justice if third party reddit app developers migrated to Lemmy, and that's what really kills off reddit for good.
That aside I've been using jerboa, but also Lemmy itself is a PWA (in chrome you can "Install" Lemmy as a dedicated web app from three point menu) which works good as well.
Liftoff is now available in the play store.

Jerboa is ok so far, using it, but it really need a way to set the font size separately, one setting for the main feed/list, and other for the post/comment.
When I set the font to 12 for example, the text of the post/comments is perfect. But the main feed becomes too small.
I don't know if it counts as Android app but there also is https://wefwef.app
It's a PWA and can also be installed on Android.
breaking news:
Thunder is now available in the Google Play Store.

Wow I was going to comment that lemmur is another android app for Lemmy but then I realised it was shut down in February. Does anyone know what the "political differences" are that are cited as one of the reasons for the discontinuation?
I don't know the exact motivations of the Lemmur developer, but 2022 surfaced a lot of community break-points here and it is no secret that the main Lemmy developers at least tolerate if not partially endorse some pretty insufferable people on the Lemmy instances they run.
For those of us who are new here, can you elaborate?
Lemmygrad.ml is all I need to say 😑
That actually just raised more questions lol
Seems like Boost is also coming: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rubenmayayo.lemmy
