They're stuck in a reboot loop, but not bricked. A factory reset works (but the problem may reappear on update).

see the trick is, you get yourself a needle, and you keep licking it, tracing the outline, again and again, until the triangle is the only thing that's left, and the outline goes away, then you get to have lunch and wait for the next game to start, if you don't, they shoot you in the head

Yes "click me click me" title for sure. Looks like those that can plug Into a PC can do a special boot to get write access to the GPE.bin file and remove it. (Fenix 8 for example)

Then keep BT off until Garmin fixes their side.

I'll attempt this in a bit since today is a run day!

This worked for me and was the only way to get my Epix Pro Gen2 to boot normally again. Hope Garmin releases a fix soon as this is only a workaround afaik.

Edit: I think this was related to uploading activities and not gps. Garmin sent me an email saying they fixed an issue on their end and how to reset the watch. Everything is working fine now again.

I had to figure out how to do the factory reset at the gym after I got the blue triangle of death when leaving work. Oddly enough it synced the gym plan I wanted and leaving it connected to the phone didn't seem to produce any other ill effects, but I stayed away from anything using GPS.

But yeah, the general advice for Garmins just now seems to be "just don't" and hope it doesn't triangle itself until the fix is out

Syncing with Garmin Express seems to have corrected mine!

Now it looks like a magic 8 ball but is somehow less useful than one

Hey, they're useful as a pithy response generator, especially to someone asking for something stupid in person, which is how I use mine. Also decent for moments of indecision lol.
