I seem to be generating excessive amounts of saliva to the point where I need a disposable cup to kinda drool it into every couple of minutes. This makes sleeping kinda hard and so I'm wondering is there a trick? I had to make a sort of makeshift bib out of a towel just to combat this last night and that allowed me to get a few hours but man was it uncomfortable. Any advice?

Edit: the excessive saliva finally went away last night. Appreciate all of your help

The drool always (several extractions including wisdom) faded for me once the numbing wore off and I took the gauze out to sleep (you should not sleep with gauze in your mouth).

You can google about this or ask your dentist if it persists more than a night or so.

I don't know. I have never slept again since.

It has been nine years.

A towel on the pillow? Im serious, you might just have to push through it

You should be on meds and your body should take care of the sleep issue on its own.

How long has this been going on? If it was just one night then hopefully it fixes itself.

If it’s several nights then call your dentist.

Its my second day so hopefully it does go away like the pain did

Could smoke some weed. Maybe the cotton mouth will cancel out the drooling.

Edit: only joking of course!

Do not smoke when there are large wounds in your mouth trying to heal!

Yes probably not the best advice. Edited so it’s clear it’s only a joke.

I was gonna say, ever heard of "dry socket"? Honestly though, when I had my wisdom teeth pulled I was still smoking cigarettes and I'd just put wet gauze in the back over the holes and do it anyway. I got lucky I guess and got away with it.
