Why was the project started?

We believe that Lemmy has a lot of potential and part of its success depends on users being able to enjoy the experience on robust and well-done clients. Aloha dev et all,

I try to be usefull giving Raccoon more active usetime as I see much potential here. Did couple if FR requests and currently wondering how to contribute more. Experiencing some crashes and lag on opening external links now and then. Would be enough for the moment to leave crash reporting enabled or would be more a good idea?

Hi and welcome to the community (we've already interacted on GitHub)! First of all, thanks for willing to help: any contribution is welcome in any form (bug reports, suggestions, beta testing, translation, etc.) no matter what. Even small details matter here and we do what we can in our free time.

Secondly, there are no automatic bug reports (we ruled out using Sentry or Firebase here) so you have to both manually enable the option and then go look in your device's file manager to a file called crash_report.txt in your documents directory and send it via email or post its content in a GitHub issue.

If you want, you can join the Matrix room, I can assure it is a very low-traffic place so no risk of message flooding.

Have a nice weekend in the meantime and thanks for everything you already reported! 🙇
