The figure in the article is 770,000 which is a bit over 0.2% of the population. They note that is an undercount. But I agree, the number has been way too high for way too long, and the rate of increase is very alarming.

Baby boomers are starting to hit retirement age and a lot of them are running out of retirement funds due to medical bills. Quite the conundrum.

Meanwhile, geriatric democrats are claiming the economy is doing great. They believed running on fixing infrastructure and offering electric vehicle tax rebates would get them reelected.
