So maybe everyone is already aware and I'm just behind the curve (as usual), but I ran into Mechabellum by accident the other day (I don't normally check my YouTube recommendations, so I guess I was lucky).

Super fun RTS "autobattler" - you don't need billion APM skillz to play it - the action is automated - you just pick the units, upgrades and place them - and watch they mayhem (or despair).

Been a while since I played something that made me go "just one more game" until late in the night.

Any other Mechabellum enjoyers here?

Traditional RTS games require a lot of work to have one cool fight, then usually the game is over. There's so much pressure on that one fight that it's stressful and no fun for a lot of players.

Mechabellum and similar games seems to skip all the hard work and focus on the one cool fight, and they repeat the one cool fight over and over.

There may be some other fun RTS elements that can be reintroduced, like the ability to control units during combat, or some base building.

I’ve been looking for a new rts, will check this one out. The last I played I think was anno 1404, loved empire earth 1 and 2 though.

I might have to check that out. I've always liked the idea of RTS's, but can't handle the RPM and investment in memorization so I normally stick to turn based tactics games.

I think you might like it. It is turn based (but also, fast - just not in the twichy way)
