Comments acting like they would jump across the room like Spiderman. Some people are only happy when they’re angry.

What are you on about? They were filming it, and it is possible to just talk to the puppy and make it stay (even if it doesn't know stay, it will at least wait and try to understand what you're saying, even if you just say No), giving them enough time to go there and pick it up.
