Is Nintendo Switch Online a scam ?

Paying for P2P game hosting and getting very little classic games ?

I.liked it, I just think the 1.release a month thing is a scam and not worth the money. I'll gladly pay for all the library, but a limited one is not worth it.

Might not be worth it to you, but scam is a huge stretch

Honestly I actually use it more for the cloud now. Originally I picked it up for Smash Bros and SNES but barely play thoses. 20 bucks a month isn't bad for backing up my game saves with ease. I don't want to deal with keeping track of a micro SD card if I decided to back-up that way.

Just to make clear, it is $20 a year. If you get a family plan, it is $35 a year for up to 8 accounts. Even if you get 3 other people, you are looking at $9 a year. Yes, free would be better, but it is far from a scam as others have been saying.

20 $ to host kilobytes worth of save game is worth it ?

Really, I feel like people are way too indulgent with Nintendo.

That and the fact that all games are P2P hosted. Nintendo only takes money to allow you to host a game on your console. No other consoles do that as far as I know.

Steam will not ask for money to keep your save files on their cloud and they have been doing that since the inception of the service.

But anyway if people are ok with the value of this service, I guess to each their own. I'm just surprised people manage to find it a valuable service rather than a poor excuse to take a bit more money for services that Nintendo doesn't really pay for in term of hosting.

It's not a scam. It's just not a good deal.

Them retroactively removing online play from splatoon 2 unless you paid for nintendo Switch online was a scam.
