The scent has been awesome all day. The soap is more complex than the splash, so it’s going to take me a while to really get into it.

I've only tried a sample of the fragrance, so I can't speak to the rest of the line, but I generally find that dirt and mineral notes read as way stronger in shave soap scents than they do in an aftershave. I wonder if that's what you're picking up here.

I tend to lean towards fruit scents for my personal tastes, so I bet you’re right. The citrus is just coming more forward in the splash and the soap gets more of the undertones that I’m not used to yet.
