I think the day will come, but for the time being there are so few high-end solar-powered watches. I am really tempted by this one, but I wish I had more choice.

Oh wow, radio synced perpetual calendar too! Love a watch with a date complication you don't need to mess with ~ every other month

The Seiko Prospex solar and astron gps solar might also fit, while being on the sportier side if less "luxurious".

I've already ordered this guy, will post when I get it (am thinking probably a brown strap right now, the stock strap is turrible)

That looks like a nice watch, but it might be a bit too busy for my taste. However, I do like it.

Astron is busy but Seiko Prospex solar divers aren't .

I had never really considered the Astron. I love the functionality and some of the dials I like, but something about that watch just does not grab me. Maybe with another strap. It's now on my watch list though.
