TAIPEI, Taiwan (AP) -- China's military sent 103 warplanes toward Taiwan in a 24-hour period in what the island's defense ministry said Monday was a daily record in recent times.

Agreed. They'd also have to be pretty sure they'd make up the deficit from potential sanctions/lost exports. It's probably why they are watching Russia so closely and investing in Africa heavily.
