1 year ago #twitter and #reddit were my top social media sites. Now I don't even contemplate returning to either. The #fediverse has completely scratched those itches. Between @elk and @syncforlemmy, nothing is different from a UI perspective. Community is healthier in the fediverse. So thank you to everyone here who builds out infrastructure, tooling, and community for the fediverse. I appreciate it.

Same, and I have a, what? 16 year old reddit account? Top 1% of Karma? Was in a lot of the exclusive groups like centuryclub, top, etc. etc.

Way to drive away your user base, reddit!

@jordanlund Didn't even realize you replied from lemmy. Good lord, these centralized apps don't stand a chance.

This thread would've been a Twitter screenshot posted on Reddit I never would've seen. Now I can reply and follow you based on engagement from a different "platform". So cool.
