hi all! I am tetraplegic and drive my wheelchair with my chin. the medical grade facemasks I've tried over the last few years make it impossible to do this while wearing them properly. I have 2 cloth masks that can be worn while driving, but I know they don't offer much protection, so I'm here to ask

  1. if detachable air filters even exist?
  2. whether they can be installed in a cloth mask

I don't know if they're still selling them, but I have masks from Outdoor Research which have removable, replaceable filters. They are not (K)N95 rated, however.

Edit: I should have just looked it up really quickly. They are still available if you're interested in trying those. It looks like they're going to stop producing/selling them soon.

Happy to help. As a bonus, they are super cheap right now, so there shouldn't be too much of a burden giving them a try, if that's what you go for. Good luck!
