Donald Trump has suggested large numbers of Palestinians should leave Gaza to “just clean out” the whole strip, after ordering the US military to restart shipments of 2,000lb bombs to Israel.

The US president said he wanted Gaza residents to move to neighbouring nations, and that they could be displaced “temporarily or could be long-term”, after a phone call with Jordan’s King Abdullah on Saturday.

“I said to him: I’d love you to take on more because I’m looking at the whole Gaza Strip right now and it’s a mess, it’s a real mess. I’d like him to take people,” Trump said, when asked about the call.

He also suggested Egypt as a destination for Gaza residents, and said he would raise the issue with President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi on Sunday.

Acting like Trump is easing up the genocide is fucking delusional.

"Trump is the reason for the ceasefire!!"

Are you intellectually dishonest or just stupid? The ceasefire that has been being planned for months, with literally 0 involvement from Trump, because he literally had 0 authority until like a week ago? Holy fuck.

"However, there indeed seems to be widespread agreement among diplomats and officials involved that Trump-related factors were quite important in finally spurring the deal to come together — though there are some dueling narratives about exactly why."

If trump said to raise minimum wage, you'd be screaming that we should lower it. Go ahead & lose another election or two by denying facts. Convince yourself that Biden is young & dynamic behind the scenes like the establishment told you to.

Yeah bro, because hating Trump means I want to gargle Biden's balls. You're a waste of time.

But, for the sake of others reading this:

Trump said that if hostages weren't released, there would be hell to pay in the middle-east. In other words, he applied pressure to HAMAS- but not, you know, the genociders.

Additionally, if you click on the source noting Trump's incoming envoy's vague "involvement", you will note that he had no direct involvement in the negotiations. 🤔

Edit: I take it back, tentatively. There was a second reference in the following sentence that elaborated on the Trump admin's involvement. Interesting. Okay. So it seems that they did pressure Israel to agree to a ceasefire.

We'll see how long that lasts, considering the last ceasefire lasted 6 days and all.

I've got to give you tons of credit. Besides having to get towards the bottom of your comment to see your correction, you still did correct yourself. If Democrats could do more of that they might start winning elections again.
