  • Brush: Zenith r/Wetshaving exclusive MOAR BOAR (31 mm Γ— 57 mm bleached boar)
  • Razor: Zwilling J. A. Henckels Friodur 17 (NOS, 7/8", hollow ground, stainless steel)
  • Lather: Catie's Bubbles – DFTR
  • Post Shave: Catie's Bubbles – DFTR
  • Fragrance: House of Mammoth – Shire 2

Very nice off-theme shave with DFTR and Shire. The 17 will soon be up for an edge refresh. It's still okay, but why settle for less than perfect if you can hone?

Hear hear!!

What did you think of DFTR? That scent description really appeals to me.

Is that the Shire Lancaster towel as your background?

DFTR is bold, so I guess it won't be everyone's favourite. The opening is tart bright green, a bit like the green notes in ArmonΓa and Weinstrasse. c Combined with woods and tobacco, it's right up my alley.

Good eye!

Though I have worked with people from almost all branches of the US military, I have never heard the acronym DFTR in the way Chris describes it. I look at DFTR and hear the main guitar riff from (Don't Fear) the Reaper in my head. Reason enough to buy the soap :)

Now it's stuck in my earπŸ˜„
