Why is he not being severely reprimanded by the current administration for conducting his own foreign policy calls?

There is only one president at any time until noon on the 20th he is president elect.

the institutions dont care.

they didnt care about procedure, norms, laws, or prosecutions 3 years ago because "he might be the nominee" they didnt care a year ago because "he's the nominee" they didnt care 2 months ago because "he's the president elect" they dont care now.

whether through indifference, fear of retribution, apathy, sympathy, or conspiracy, the people involved in the "system" had no intention of doing anything to donald trump, it was more important to put him back in charge of the nuclear football than it was to prosecute him.

when the system behaves as broken as it did, you have a hard time convincing me there isn't a conspiracy to install a radical regime in the country.

I agree. They don't. My question is more along the lines of "why don't they?". I realise you gave me a number of possible reasons, but it would be nice to know the truth.

Because despite all the bluster about Trump being a unique danger, they know they'll be fine, and it's more important to make sure a member of their class doesn't go to prison. Class solidarity is very much alive for the wealthiest.

People like Schiff and Pelosi know that if push comes to shove they can always make some kind of deal that will keep them out of the firing line personally, and they'll happily throw the rest of the Americans under the bus in the name of bipartisanship.
