Sextidi 26 Nivôse an 233 de la Révolution, jour d'Étain: Buena Vista Wetshaving Social Club - January Edition
Time for BVWSC again, this time courtesy of @gcgallant@sub.wetshaving.social! Like @djundjila@sub.wetshaving.social, both the soap and the artisan are new to me. The soap was expertly sealed, and was black, as advertised. To stay on theme, I also chose a razor with black scales.
Upon opening it, I mainly got an impression of smoke. They say:
~The probably machine-generated translation did not use a recent LLM, I assume~
I found the scent very discrete, and had trouble identifying any of these (maybe because my nose is not as functional as usual these days in the cold season?). I also found the soap rather finicky to lather: I had to use about double the dose I thought initially I would need, and still slightly overshot the optimal dose of water, resulting in a rather runny, and not very protective lather (yes, I cut myself in the neck, you guessed correctly).
The experience of @djundjila@sub.wetshaving.social was markedly different, so probably I should try this again with filtered water and a synthetic nod (I have very hard water, which plays not too well with other artisans as well, e.g., AYLM). I reserve judgment for the moment, and will try again – the smush is big enough for a second shave.
Have a good day!

I did use a synth just to play it safe with the new-to-me base so that might have helped. Sorry about the nick!
It probably wasn't your fault 🤣
Edit: I notice thet smart people here use synths - next time maybe
Strong dad energy 😄
