Going from 12V DC to 120 AC and back to the 5-20V DC that USB-C provides is very inefficient (both in energy, cost, and space). Just get a USB cigarette plug adapter that can do fast charging. Right now I see a 60W 2 port USB-C one on Amazon for $10.

The 120V inverter only really makes sense if you've got other stuff to charge like a laptop or portable speaker that's not USB.
