Whatever it takes to reduce the blow to china right?
Odd sentiment from someone deliberately lying for the purposes of propaganda
Are you even getting paid for this?
That’s rich coming from .ml
Would you like a more state sponsored telling?:

You deliberately misled people by telling a partial truth and your response to being called out is "lol you're from the instance I'm posting on"?
You come here and deliberately lie to do propaganda and at the same time you're backslapping about how you're fishing for a ban to parade around. You should get banned. You're a bad actor.
I’m not OP genius.
And oh no, not a ban from the troll farm of Lemmy. Whatever will I do?
You'll probably be miserable and antisocial out of sight and out of mind
You lost. Haha. Cry and run away.
what
what?
Where's the lie?
Who said lie?
I only stated the truth.
For some reason, you don't like that.
Do you think people should be arrested for writing dirty stories?
They were arrested for mass distribution, not for writing. Keep in mind this law was written before the internet, back then distributing 5000 copies was a fairly large operation. I don't think the writers of the law foresaw a future where distributing 5000 copies of a work could be done instantly and in many cases for free (although the punishment is more severe based on income)
I'm only clarifying the facts. My personal opinions on the matter are quite different.
Do you think people should be arrested for writing an erotic fiction book?
No, but I don't think posting misleading headlines in an English-speaking forum is the way to change that.
It’s not misleading. It’s just focusing on one aspect of a much larger problem. The article never said “only gay fiction.”
You seem to exist on both sides of this topic. It must be exhausting to be queer, and pro-china, since you’re definitely not welcome there.
The article clarifies, but you know people don't read articles. Posters read headlines and then go right to the comments section. All I was doing was taking the information in the article and posting it in the comments section.
And it's not like I'm fucking welcome in my own home lol
But it’s not important to create an argument against something just because you dislike the title of the article. It just makes you sound like you’re in favor of locking them up.
It's important for discussions to be based in reality and not a misleading title.
It’s not misleading. It’s just focused on a specific group, because that’s the publication. You’re asking a lot from “journalists” ;)
Even if you allow for the special focus it still implies China is targeting gay erotica, as opposed to gay erotica. Those are very different stories. Plus, this forum doesn't have a focus on any specific groups for which the publication's bias should be accounted.
And so that's what I did. I clarified what was missing in the title. That's all.
Just did your job eh?
I do this for fun. Not everyone is a paid shill out to get you.
You sure don’t seem to be having fun on here
