My first shave with Pomona gave great results, but I think it gave me a bit of frag burn while it was on my face. I've had this happen with a couple of other soaps as well (Stirling Barbershop and the bit I tried of PAA Bay Rum before trading it away).
I'm wondering whether my skin may be sensitive to cinnamon or clove. There must be some shared ingredient contributing to this.
I plan to give it another shot with Pomona later this week or next since I enjoy the scent. But unfortunately, this might not ultimately be one for me. :(
Have a great day y'all. โ๏ธ
Frag burn stinks. I don't think Pomona burned me, but Stirling Barbershop did. I've had other scents give me a burn/tingle, but nothing like Stirling Barbershop... that was really bad.
Pomona felt much worse than Barbershop did for me. You're right though, it's an unpleasant sensation.
I hope my second shave will give me different results, but it might be wishful thinking. It is a lovely scent though, so I'm pretty bummed.
Luckily there's no shortage of great soaps to try. :)
