pet theory: porn is for people who can't fantasise

[–] 1boiledpotato@sh.itjust.works 9 points 4 months ago (1 children)

I disagree, I can fantasize, but sometimes I'm too lazy

One thing I'm learning from this thread is maybe some people can visualise but it takes them effort?

Strange to imagine minds that are not one's own.

Imo its just a different thing.

Like, 1 or 2 here with sort of moving images like memories, sounds, conversations.

I still listen to interviews despite being able to make up convos in my head. I watch comedy despite being able to make up jokes and funny stories.

I watch movies despite being able to visualise whatever i want.

I mean for me it's like a checklist. But it goes by fast. Like I'll list the characteristics and then apply them to a kind of "3D model" in my head.

Or I'll just use past objects from my memory. I've seen lots of apples in my life, lol.

This sounds familiar.

I mean, one thing is to imagine an apple, imagining moving people is on a while another level.
