I’ll be real this is a “if you can’t take the heat stay out of the kitchen” kinda thing
Heat is fine. But that's like saying you have to lose your car every time your restaurant has a fire.
That’s… actually a pretty good analogy. I see your point, especially since the ability to mute a thread doesn’t subtract from anybody else’s experience
@TexMexBazooka @sabreW4K3 I know you mean well, but it's ableist and exclusionary to say that we should not be using social media if we can't "handle the heat." Notifications can ruin my sleep or keep me from focusing on my work. We probably agree that it would be nice to engage with our audiences on our own terms - so I don't understand where the dismissiveness comes from.
