I made these stands for my kids. There was little room on each side of their bookshelf but I think they worked out.

Made them out of pine, I know it is far from ideal but had a few planks laying around.

I don't quite know what it is - the rounded corners, the simple design, knowing they're for kids - they just make me happy to look at. Good work!
