you can check out who is doing the downvoting on mbin/kbin instances. its public.
i checked a few and it always seems pretty random
Kbin doesn’t federate downvotes from other instances though, so you can only see the downvotes made through Kbin. I believe for Lemmy, the only way to see the identities of voters is through direct database access. Maybe some third party apps show that though?
mbin federates downvotes.. forgot that kbin is kinda behind now
I figured it was a conscious design decision. Maybe it just doesn't work, idk. It's kind of nice not seeing them though I am curious sometimes and will look on other instances.
On KBin I believe that it is (or at least was a bug that became a feature). There have been posts about it strongly urging Ernest not to change it and he's said he'll open it up to discussion before making major changes to it, if my recollection is accurate.
The vote federation is different though, not sure if it's just downvotes that don't transfer but you can be downvoted on lemmy and it may not show on Kbin. Looking at OP's account here doesn't show a pattern of being downvoted, for instance.
kbin maybe, but mbin federates downvotes https://moist.catsweat.com
However, as they don't federate downvotes (at least kbin.social doesn't) you can only see local ones so this wouldn't help OP.
they could with an alt on an mbin, like https://moist.catsweat.com
Huh so not bots ?
