I've been noticing that posts I have attached photos to are no longer showing the pictures. Including the posts other people have made to the community I moderate.

Does this just happen over time? Are we supposed to use a third party site to link photos from so this doesn't happen?

It looks like some sort of issue with pict-rs, the image backend for Lemmy. I haven't paid enough attention to see which instances are having problems.

Does my user image show up? I'm hosting a tiny Lemmy instance just for myself.

Your user image shows up fine for me, but OP's doesn't.

I see your images, but not OP or other posters.

Seems to be a problem with sh.itjust.works, I think.
