I've been trying to but so far not everything is here yet

Yeah. The nsfw stuff is lacking so far.

But it's early days. Just a matter of time, most likely.

But have you found pornlemmy? It's getting huge...

[–] wheeldawg@sh.itjust.works 1 points 1 year ago

Yeah, but there's tons of niche ummm... Interests that aren't covered yet.

[–] dkn@sh.itjust.works 1 points 1 year ago

Interesting username lol

I use both side by side, I'm hoping for Lemmy to grow, but I know that in the near future Reddit will still continue to be active

[–] siewyuk@monyet.cc 1 points 1 year ago

I'm tempted to go back... but only to see how are things going, how's the outcome of the exodus and such

I left during the blackout. I use reddit occasionally for specific questions I can't find anywhere else. It's a shit hole, but an old and useful shit hole.

Trying to. It’s hard because I’m super lonely and want to connect with people. But it’s still really new here and not a lot of users are here yet.

[–] ERRR00000000000@lemm.ee 1 points 1 year ago

Not totally. Reddit is a shithole but it's my shithole

[–] 2kool4idkwhat@lemdro.id 1 points 1 year ago

I made my account yesterday so I can't really say if I will stick with Lemmy in the long term, but for now mostly yes, most of the communities I like are here and Lemmy feels a lot nicer than Reddit. But there are a few communities that are still only on Reddit so I'm using both

[–] cyberpiggy@lemmy.ml 1 points 1 year ago

It's really not far off, Reddit is on borrowed time and so is twitter and the rest....

[–] Pencilnoob@lemmy.one 1 points 1 year ago

Yep, other than ending up at Reddit because I'm searching for something, which I'll call passive use. My active use of posting and commenting is entirely on Lemmy

I'm really trying to. But it seems like all anyone wants to talk about here is Reddit and Twitter.

[–] Kahizzle@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago (3 children)

I'm caught between the two at the moment.

My Reddit app (Relay) is still working for now so I'm using that to browse the few communities that don't have a foothold here yet.

Once Relay kicks the bucket I'll be forced to browse in Firefox with uBlock and that'll definitely cut down the amount of time I spend on there.

Ditched! Didn’t look back. Really enjoying lemmy and content is picking up.

[–] Serryn@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

Once RiF went, so did I. After I replaced the app location in my phone with Connect, I didn't have any reason to spontaneously visit Reddit.

As long as I can use RES, I'll still visit when I'm searching for an answer.

Pretty much. I also started using squabbles.io the other day and am enjoying that so I think I'll be replacing Reddit with both.

[–] spacemanspiffy@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago

I'm about 80% over to Lemmy myself. There's enough content here that I can doomscroll memes to my heart's content now. Reddit, I still end up on on my PC for a few more niche subreddits. Mobile though, I'm just sticking to wefwef/Lemmy until a good GTK client for Lemmy is available (both good options are still in beta right now).

[–] Zedd_Prophecy@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago

In starting to, but it's more like the old days now where I'll go to my list of cool sites and only if all those run out and I'm bored enough to doomscroll will I visit the R.

[–] LovelyA72@lemmy.ml 1 points 1 year ago

Now I just wish Lemmy can come up in my Google search when I search for reviews. Right now that is still Reddit's territory and no Lemmy at all. Lemmy should really improve it's SEO to not only makes using it with search engines easier, it can also help new users discover this platform.

[–] HikerAdam@sh.itjust.works 1 points 1 year ago

I'm using both. I have a few communities I'm growing and I'm posting as much as I can.

Reddit still is obviously more active, but I'm noticing that business is picking up here lately. Once it turns into a 60/40 or 50/50 in which one is more active I'll make the jump full time to Lemmy.
