I know it isn't typical, but I love using my deck as a Steam Link client.

Love my Steam Deck. Lots of Brotato, some Runescape, brawlhalla, Game Boy Games on RetroArch. Hollow Knight too.
Just wondering, has anyone tried installing windows on it? From my experience using with dual boot, windows give much more fps stability like not getting mini lag etc. on games.
Windows is super jank on deck. Steamos is far more stable and in many games the proton layer makes games smoother than in windows because the Vulcan to dx 12 stuff forces precaching of shaders.
For a while people were installing holoiso (steamos for other computers) to make elden ring less studdery.
Yes, I have tries this personally too. Steamos is much MUCH better for handheld gaming than windows is.
Recently just finished the base difficulty story mode of Furi (amazing game highly recommended) and the lightning boss in Zelda tears of the kingdom.
I'm loving a lesser known game called Necesse, which runs great on the Deck!
Batman Arkham City, then I moved on to Arkham Knight but I streamed that from my desktop because it's more demanding. Now I'm trying to figure out what to play next. Maybe Jedi Fallen Order.
A whole lot of Street Fighter 6. Steam deck works perfect for working through world tour while away from my fightsticks
I love how simple it is to play games on the Steam Deck The user interface is straight-forward, like it is with the other gaming consoles
PRO TIP: Turn Off the FPS Counter, you get to enjoy the game you are playing MORE
I've been playing System Shock 2, the original version i got from GOG (it took a bit to make the controls work but it works fine, though i found a weird bug with non-Steam games in that if you rename the game it loses the control settings - e.g. i set up the controls when the icon was named "SS2.exe" but when i renamed it to "System Shock 2" later it lost the settings until i renamed it back to "SS2.exe" :-P).
I also played a bit of Stranger of Sword City, a turn-based and grid-based blobber. I find the deck works fine with such games.
Also both games play just fine at ~5Watt settings (i like to optimize the settings per-game to get more battery life out of the system).
I have one, mostly play Stardew and Brawhalla coop on it. Occasionally some Wreckfest or Sonic All-Stars Racing.
At the minute I'm playing Botw via cemu , warframe, Mario kart 8 via cemu, deus ex MD and just finished my second play through of portal 2. I still need to finish new super Mario bros 2 on citra
Next I want to get into metal gear solid 5 . I'm also looking forward to when Xenia improves as the 360 had some great games before it red ringed (press F to pay respects)
Recently set up EmuDeck, so the real question is what am I not playing? Jokes aside, currently taking a break from the Deck for D4 (wanted better graphics and smoother framerate so I went with PS5). Will probably grab it on PC when there's a sale just to be able to play it on the go... well, wherever wifi is available.
Other than that it's been mostly "Fuck Around With Tweaking the OS and Settings to Get Games Just Right and Then Never Actually Play Them" Simulator. Windows 11 runs surprisingly smooth off of just a MicroSD card.
Breath of the Wild and Guild Wars 2! Amazing Deck experiences. Forza 5, too, but it's so dang buggy...
Steam Deck best tech purchase for me in a long time. Don’t judge me too much but I’ve been playing Disney Speedstorm between TotK sessions.
I used to, does that count? I'm still an avid linux gamer, but mine was just sitting unused compared to my desktop before I decided to sell. Either way, currently playing Zelda Tears of the Kingdom on Yuzu. Hasn't been exactly smooth sailing but overall it's been pretty good. The main issues are the emu being so new (bugs) and not having an idea what mods and settings are best for my particular hardware, and TBH steamdeck is great in this area since they're all the same platform aside the storage.
Currently playing FF7 remake which has been wonderful. Moving on to Metroid Prime 2 next.
Diablo 4 has been absolutely perfect on the deck once you get battle.net loaded up. Runs awesome, good battery life if you lower the graphics a little and limit FPS.
Burnout revenge and dishonored
Horizon Zero Dawn. Had it on PS4 and didn't get far. Having a Deck changes everything.
I installed BlizzNet on my steamdeck and am playing through Diablo IV. I'm usually a more patient gamer but my friends were playing and coop is fun.
Trying to work through my backlog. I've just started A Hat In Time and enjoying it so far.
Not played it on my deck yet, but I heard a LOT about Hades being amazing on Deck... I bought it the other day and played it a stupid amount over the weekend on my desktop in glorious 240FPS. Apparently it runs at a locked 60 on Deck!
As first game i play Brütal Legend, then is Bayonetta on the list and then... we will see
I've been kind of slow to play anything on my deck. Right now I've just been emulating a ton of Nintendo games. Currently working on Paper Mario: Thousand Year Door
