Eggs [used to be] a cheap source of protein that can be easily and affordably prepared. Cruelty involved in production aside, the eggs aren't fertilized so they will never hatch.

The president has little effect on economics. Biden couldn't do anything about it and neither will Trump, regardless of whatever they may promise or whoever they may blame on the campaign trail. The issue has everything to do with the production model.
