The recall was initiated for 24-count packages of Kirkland Signature Organic Pasture Raised with a UPC of 9661910680.

I don't get it. I assumed literally all eggs were contaminated with salmonella from the cloaca and that cooking killed it.

I guess some people do eat raw eggs. They're not necessarily contaminated, but it's definitely not a risk I'd be taking.
