You can take the sweater off when you're not sleeping, but it has to be on at night no matter the temperature.

I think I would demand like 200k, just for the discomfort from the scratchiness. I already sleep with a winter blanket all year round so I wouldn't mind how warm it would get.

No amount of money could ever determine me to so drastically reduce the quality of my life, let alone my sleep.

I don't think $200k is enough. That's a lot of sleepless nights just from the itching. It would need to be enough money to afford to run my air-conditioning year round, on top of the mental anguish.

Do I have to keep it on during sex?

Only if you have sex in bed

I rather die piss poor than not sleeping comfortable.

You people are underselling yourselves.

A thousand a night, indexed to inflation. First year in advance, and then payment every morning after that, with the condition that if you miss one night, it's all over.

I think the ongoing payment adds a bit of spice to it. Do you set a goal of X dollars and stop then? Will you be ordered by the court to continue wearing it for alimony for your gold digging ex wife that you met in the first year? Will the temptation of easy money for minor suffering slowly drive you insane? Time will tell.

There is not an amount physically possible to attain for me to be uncomfortable for the rest of my life.

[–] The__the@lemmy.world 6 points 3 weeks ago

1 trillion dollar per day

[–] sweetpotato@lemmy.ml 6 points 3 weeks ago

Enough so that I can pay the AC bill during the night, cause healthy sleep requires low temperatures.

Besides that, I will ask for as much as I can get away with.

100K per year if I can stop and lose that continued money at any time.

[–] Mandy@sh.itjust.works 4 points 3 weeks ago

I can just put a shirt or something between me and the sweater to reduce the scratch

[–] henfredemars@infosec.pub 4 points 3 weeks ago

Are there any conditions about what I can wear under the sweater? Otherwise, it doesn’t seem terrible.

[–] InternetCitizen2@lemmy.world 4 points 3 weeks ago

I'm going to say 1millon per month.

[–] Melatonin@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 3 weeks ago

[–] Extrasvhx9he@lemmy.today 3 points 3 weeks ago

Can I put on a different sweater underneath the wool one? My answer will highly depend on this

Enough to meet the needs of me and my loved ones for the rest of our lives. I already can't fucking sleep in comfortable conditions

[–] LowtierComputer@lemmy.world 2 points 3 weeks ago

Not much. I wear them regularly.

Monkey's paw twist: Your payment is new printed money, devaluing the currency

[–] RebekahWSD@lemmy.world 2 points 3 weeks ago

I would die of sleep deprivation or maybe heat stroke so thanks but can't!

[–] Quintus@lemmy.ml 2 points 3 weeks ago

10^99999999...

The discomfort is not worth it.

[–] Nemo@slrpnk.net 1 points 3 weeks ago

If it's only while in bed to sleep, I could do $200K. I'd be willing to also wear it for naps on the couch but not for, ahem, other activities I do in bed.

I'd do it for $500k a year.

[–] Xiisadaddy@lemmygrad.ml 1 points 3 weeks ago

idk the logistics of it bother me. I just get 1 sweater? Then it would need to be enough money i both wouldnt have to work and could hire someone to wash it for me every night. Also can i wear a shirt under it to prevent nip chafeing?

[–] Mothra@mander.xyz 1 points 3 weeks ago

Is this a sweater tailored to magically be uncomfortable for everyone or is this just a regular scratchy sweater? I actually like a lot of fabrics most people complain about for being scratchy, and I tolerate heat a lot - cold is usually my problem.

So, I don't know. If it's something I can tolerate then something like 30k a year would make a great difference in my quality of life atm.

If it's something I can't stand though, I think your 200k a year seems more reasonable.

[–] ultranaut@lemmy.world 1 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

200k per year, maybe. I have a heavy wool sweater like something a North Sea sailor in the 1800s would wear, I can't handle it without a thick long sleeved shirt underneath because of how rough and itchy it is. It's also incredibly warm. Sleeping in that thing would be like having a full time job every night.

Damn bro I would do it for 50k per year.

Assuming I'm not taxed.
