I love that there is a cast iron community here 😆
Cast Iron
A community for cast iron cookware. Recipes, care, restoration, identification, etc.
Rules: Be helpful when you can, be respectful always, and keep cooking bacon.
More rules may come as the community grows, but for now, I'll remove spam or anything obviously mean-spirited, and leave it at that.

Friend I think you need to take a wire brush to the bottom of the pan and reseason it
It’s been like that since I got it years ago. I’ve just been building a new seasoning over it.
Never had an issue. I make almost exclusively eggs in it and they never stick. So I’m good 🤷♂️
That's how my mom's had her pans and I still can't match her cooking.
Check out “cast iron scrubber” at your preferred online retailer. I use mine after every cook and my pan always looks pristine. No need for soap, just a nice scrub and some water.
You might want to be more specific. When I googled “cast iron scrubber” a lot of different products came up.
The one Ive used for years looks like this! They also make them wrapped around a sponge material but those can get kinda nasty after a while.
Ah. I’ve always heard of them as chainmail scrubbers.
